Dr. Greg Bass earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, and he completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

As a 22-year veteran in the medical field, Dr. Bass meets the needs of his patients in areas of obstetrics, gynecology, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and infertility. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and stays active through hiking, skiing and mountain biking.

Dr. Bass is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of Certified American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Abilene born and raised, Dr. Randy Daniell earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from McMurry University and received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his residency.

Dr. Daniell provides a full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, including minimally invasive procedures and robotic surgery. He has delivered approximately 6,000 babies over his 35-year career.

When not at the office or in surgery, Dr. Daniell can be found reading, listening to classic rock, golfing or working out.

Dr. Daniell is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the Taylor/Jones/Haskell County Medical Society, Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Texas Medical Association.

A native Texan, Dr. Stuart Martin earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. After making one final move and completing his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he sought to return home to establish his practice.

During his education and training, Dr. Martin became professionally curious and particularly well versed in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic surgery modalities. Having spent his training at one of the busiest high-risk labor and delivery units in the country, Dr. Martin also has extensive experience in complex obstetrics care.

Dr. Martin and his wife love Abilene and enjoy being involved with many community activities. Dr. Martin personally enjoys working out, hunting, outdoor activities, and spending time at home with his best friend and their two dogs, Otto and Finn.

He is board eligible for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also a member of the Taylor/Jones/Haskell County Medical Society Association and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Whitney Mascorro earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency at UT Southwestern, where she won the prestigious Medicus Award “for outstanding clinical care, knowledge, teaching and dedication to compassion and professionalism.” During her time there, she also received the Excellence in Laparoscopy Award.

As a woman, wife and mother, Dr. Mascorro has an appreciation for the specific needs of her patients. She cares for women from teenage to senior years in both the surgical and medical realms. Because a woman’s first visit to her is so important, Dr. Mascorro spends the extra time educating and building relationships where her younger patients so they feel comfortable talking about their concerns.

Dr. Mascorro brings God into her everyday practice – remembering He is ultimately in charge. She prays before surgery and before delivering bad news, and she remembers to give praise for the everyday and not-so-everyday miracles.

Dr. Jessica Ortolano earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and vertebrate physiology at Pennsylvania State University. After receiving a master’s degree in biotechnology at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, she completed post-graduate education at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Ortolano received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.

She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ortolano is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Originally from Houston, Dr. J. Leonard Tadvick earned both his bachelor’s degree in biomedical science and his medical degree at Texas A&M University. After completing his residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in 2001, he began his practice in Abilene.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Tadvick is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the Taylor/Jones/Haskell County Medical Society, the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Tadvick enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, as well as participating in church activities. As a Christian physician, his goal is to care for all aspects of his patients – body, soul and spirit.

A native of Abilene, Dr. Zimmerman specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She received her bachelor’s degree at The University of Texas at Austin, earned her medical degree at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Scott & White Medical Center with Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Zimmerman is certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Texas Medical Association. She received the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine residency award for excellence in obstetric care and has been recognized as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Zimmerman is excited to return to Abilene with her husband, Andy, and their daughter, Blakely. She is passionate about women's health and serving the women of Abilene through the various phases of life, from adolescence to pregnancy to menopause.


Advanced Practitioners

Our advanced practitioners include nurse practitioners (NP) and a certified nurse midwife (CNM) who work alongside our physicians to provide primary, acute and specialty healthcare services similar to those of a physician. These highly skilled mid-level providers are registered nurses with specialized advanced education and clinical training. They each bring a unique perspective to health services with a blend of nursing and medical care.

Along with clinical services, our NPs and CNM focus on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and guiding patients to make better lifestyle and healthcare decisions.

Cassi Crouch was born and raised in the Big Country. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hardin-Simmons University and her master’s degree from Angelo State University. She has worked in a variety of areas during her career, but her specialty and passion has always been in women’s health. She is excited to continue her career serving and educating others as a family nurse practitioner.

Cassi and her husband have two daughters: they love being outdoors and coaching their daughter’s softball team.

Krystal Lovelady is a long-time resident of the Big Country and began her nursing career after earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hardin-Simmons University. After five years caring for patients, Krystal returned to school and earned a master’s degree in nursing.

As a believer in Christ, Krystal incorporates God in her patient outreach and has a strong heart and mission to serve those through her abilities.

Krystal is a board-certified nurse practitioner and an active member of Texas Nurse Practitioners and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Courtnee Harris graduated Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and worked in a variety of areas. After working in the neonatal intensive care unit, newborn nursery and the labor and delivery unit, she returned to school and received a master’s degree in nursing from Hardin-Simmons University. Courtnee is a board-certified family nurse practitioner.

Her passion for women's health helps Courtnee build trusting relationships with her patients, while ensuring that each patient gets individualized care. She thanks God every day for the opportunity to practice in her profession.

Brandi Jacob received her associate degree in nursing and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Angelo State University. Brandi worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Hendrick Health System and Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock prior to finishing a master’s in nursing-family practitioner from West Texas A&M University. With more than a decade of experience as a nurse practitioner, she has spent most of her time specializing in women’s health.

Brandi and her husband have two children, and participate in church activities, reading, traveling and being outdoors.

Wendi Rice earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University, and after having her children, returned to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hardin-Simmons University. While working as a labor and delivery nurse for 14 years, she began to feel a calling to return to school. A giant leap of faith led her to obtain a master's degree in nurse-midwifery from the University of Cincinnati.

Wendi offers the option of midwifery care for pregnancy and delivery within the hospital setting. As a certified nurse midwife, Wendi educates and empowers women to make decisions that will improve their lives. Her primary goal as a provider is to serve patients in the community, as well as in foreign mission fields, in the way that Jesus Christ demonstrated – without judgment and with deep compassion.

Sunnie Thiberville was born and raised in the Big Country. She attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, as well as earning a master’s degree.

As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, Sunnie’s compassion for patient care enables her to impact the well-being of women and to focus on building trusting and long-standing relationships with them. Sunnie is passionate about educating her patients on personal healthcare issues and disease prevention.
