Nurse Practitioners are primary care providers who provide high-quality primary, acute and specialty healthcare services similar to those of a physician. They are registered nurses with specialized advanced education and clinical training. A Master’s degree is required for entry level practice. Nurse practitioners bring a unique perspective to health services with a blend of nursing and medical care. Along with clinical services, NPs focus on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling and guiding patients to make better lifestyle and healthcare decisions.
